With so many Atlanta attractions to choose from, you’ll have to plan out your time wisely. From the botanical gardens to many historical sites and buildings, as well as world-class museums, you won’t get bored any time soon.

Nature Areas
Enjoy some of the more natural Atlanta attractions by strolling through gardens such as those found at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, where you can walk through 15 acres of outdoor display gardens including the Japanese Garden, and the magnificent rose gardens.
When you come to Piedmont Park you’ll find an Atlanta attraction anyone can enjoy simply by being outdoors. It’s one of the largest city parks in the entire nation where you can explore the trails and playgrounds or watch outside concerts and much more.
If you love animals, be sure to visit Zoo Atlanta where over 200 species can be seen living in their natural environments.

Historic Sites and Buildings
Atlanta attractions include a wide array of famous historic areas to check out on your next visit.
Visit the famous and historic Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site, one of the most well known Atlanta attractions, where he is now buried. You’ll see for yourself where this revered and respected leader was born, worshipped and lived during his lifetime.
Explore an ancient Indian mount at Hardman Farm where guides will explore the antique and architectural features of this historic site with you.
Visit Atlanta’s oldest Victorian house museum, the Wren’s Nest, where author Joel Chandler Harris lived. Also visit the mansion built for the eldest son of Coca-Cola’s founder in order to see beautifully sculptured lawns, natural trails, a rock garden and other formal gardens at the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center.
The Georgia Railroad Freight Depot is one of the oldest buildings in downtown Atlanta and is listed on the National Register of Historic Landmarks.

Museums/ Galleries
Museums and galleries make up a good deal of Atlanta attractions. Be enchanted at the Center for Puppetry Arts with the educational and amazing shows where magic takes place, and enjoy the curriculum-based workshops and hands-on exhibits available as well. Atlanta attractions also include museums like the World of Coca Cola, where you can see the largest collection of Coke memorabilia. There are many other museums to enjoy, so be sure to visit places like the American Museum of Papermaking, the ART Station, the Atlanta History Museum and High Museum of Art to name only a few.
