A great mall to take the kids and find fabulous bargains is the Hawthorn Shopping Center. About 40 minutes north of Chicago in Vernon Hills, it features a free Imagination Castle for the kids to play in all afternoon while you shop. The mall has over 140 stores ranging from JCPenny to boutiques for women, children and men. You can also enjoy the wonderful food court that is kid-friendly.
