Niagara Falls Dining

One of the special aspects of visiting Niagara Falls is that one can find a vast selection of restaurants offering great cuisine, as well as wonderful wines from the Niagara region. Abundant restaurants boast Falls view seating, another feature that makes dining in Niagara Falls memorable and unique.

Dining in Niagara Falls is about romance and ambience; but it’s also about great food. And one place that offers both is the Millery & Victoria Dining Room, housed in a quaint stone building, from turn of the 20th century, and once a leading flour mill. Specialties include aged angus beef served with Yorkshire pudding and Yukon whipped potato as well as rack of lamb on wilted spinach, three cheese risotto and minted mustard pan jus. It is quite elegant and though somewhat expensive, it is worth the splurge.

The Monticello Grille House is another ideal place for elegance and romance. Serving Louisiana inspired cuisine, it is one of the favorites; specialty dishes include steamed mussels Creole, blackened yellow fin tuna, and tender lobsters.

The Sterling Inn & Spa is a luxury hotel with full spa services and fabulous seasonal cuisine, inspired by the growers of the Niagara region. Offering both lunch and dinner menus, the chef prepares amazing meals like cous cous and cured salmon salad with red chard, gingered carrot won-tons and a Chardonnay beurre blanc.

Tip: Not to be missed is the butterscotch poached apple ice cream.

Several restaurants offer a relaxing atmosphere while serving superb food. The Keg Steakhouse & Bar specializes in sumptuous steaks and a great selection of wines. Located on the 9th floor of the Embassy Suites Hotel, it has some of the best floor to ceiling views of the Falls.

Another place to enjoy good quality food is Ruby Tuesdays, renowned for its huge salad bar, juicy burgers and tasty ribs. It offers great prices and a great family atmosphere.

If however you feel in the mood for a different type of dining in Niagara Falls, there are numerous international restaurants like Mama Mia’s Restaurant, a great place for the Italian cuisine and the perfect spot for an evening with family. Visitors can enjoy some of the best pasta, risottos and seafood dishes.

The Market Buffet at Casino Niagara, is a fun place if you want to taste a little of this and a little of that; its vast buffet, offers great food at great value; it is wonderful for the entire family.

Patio dining is a lot of fun especially when the weather is cool. Pizza Pizza Patio is a great place to enjoy finger food such as chicken wings, nachos and of course, great tasting pizza by the slice. The Beer Garden Karaoke Patio, in the same location, is a fun place to enjoy a cool jug of brew during a warm summer day.

Whatever your palate calls for, whatever your budget allows, dining in Niagara Falls can be an enjoyable and memorable experience.
