Theme Park Shopping

Both Disney and Universal have entities outside their parks to delight the shopper (and culinary expert) in the family. Downtown Disney® is Mickey’s shopping haven. Mixed in with entertainment areas such as Pleasure Island, Cirque du Soleil and the House of Blues®, Disney Marketplace® is an outdoor shopping area filled with unique souvenirs to satisfy both the young tourist and the seasoned art collector. Try the Art of Disney for refined collectables, and Mickey’s Groove for everything featuring the famous mouse. Take the kids to Goofy’s Candy Co. to satisfy their sweet tooth, and Once Upon a Toy where their imaginations will come alive.

Universal Studios®’ must, of course, compete with the House of Mouse, and CityWalk® is their version of Downtown Disney®. Sprinkled between entertainment and dining venues like B.B. King’s Blues Club and Hard Rock Café®, City Walk features the customary Universal Studios Store, where souvenir shoppers will find branded merchandise. Luxury Shopping Outside the Orlando Theme Parks

For those in the market for luxury shopping, Orlando has plenty to offer. Just five miles south of downtown, you’ll find the popular Mall at Millenia. Anchored by stores like Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdales, Millenia offers sought after fashion boutiques like Juicy Couture, Salvatore Ferragamo, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, David Yurman and more. For additional upscale shopping in a more intimate setting, try the brick lined Park Avenue in Orlando’s Winter Park area, where the tree lined street is peppered with luxury boutiques and equally enticing local wine bars.

Orlando Outlet Malls

Bargain shoppers beware! After perusing all the deals to be found at Orlando’s hefty array of outlet malls, you may need to find a suitcase bargain to get everything home. Try Prime Outlets on the north end of I-Drive for the standard outlet mall on steroids, featuring over 110 stores from Nike to Coach Factory. For upscale items at outlet prices, try Orlando Premium Outlets, where designers like Georgio Armani, Burberry, Fendi, and LaCoste are mixed in with more recognizable stores like J.Crew and Ann Taylor. Return home looking like a million bucks, but having spent a lot less!
