Burbank Dining

Dining in Burbank is a delicious experience with many great choices when it comes to flavors from around the country and different nationalities as well.  You won’t have to venture outside the city for great food – it’s all right here.

Despite the fact that tourists come to Burbank to experience the California chic, dining in Burbank can be quite affordable.  A favorite among locals as well as out-of-towners is the Gindi Thai Restaurant.  It’s not overly decorated but does give the allure of an eatery in Bangkok.  And the food is not an invention but really traditional.  All three types of curries are offered on the menu as possible choices for the preparation of meats, shrimp or tofu.  Yes, even vegetarians can savor the authenticity of Thai recipes.  Every dish is accompanied by steamed white or brown rice.  The salmon with pineapple and yellow curry is a well liked item.

Tip:  Even though portions are hearty, you’ll be glad when you taste the desserts.  The sticky rice mixed with mango and coconut is an absolute must when dining in Burbank.  It’s not too sweet and is the perfect ending to a great meal.

A Great View
Among the best places for dining in Burbank is The Castaway.  Its location alone makes it worth the visit.  It’s perched atop the hills that overlook the De Bell Golf Course.  The view of the city is beyond spectacular no matter whether it’s day or night.  And if you’re looking to spend a romantic evening, this is the ideal venue.  This forty year landmark has been impressing guests with its excellent service and outstanding gastronomy from day one.  Start off with mushroom caps filled with crab meat or calamari in garlic oil.  The pot stickers come in an array of varieties and dipping sauces.  For a main course you won’t want to deprive yourself from the New Orleans style chicken and pasta.  It’s simply sublime.  But if you can’t make it for dinner, do come for Sunday brunch.  Its fare is legendary and features everything from themed stations to a fresh seafood bar.  The complimentary champagne makes a great pairing to the delicious variety of foods.

A Taste from South of the Border

Everyone who lives in Burbank knows that Don Cuco is at the top of the list for dining in Burbank.  This Mexican eatery has been the recipient of numerous awards for its soups and food.  The ambience is reminiscent of a typical fiesta with large sombreros, piñatas and colorful handicrafts.  You’ll want to begin the evening with a refreshing Margarita and dip the chips in the home made salsa.  You might have to wait for a table but believe the critics when they say it’s worth the while.  The staff is friendly and will assist you with any questions you might have about the menu.  The burritos and chicken in chile verde are sensational.  And regarding the fajitas, well we would have to devote a whole page just to describe their amazing scents and flavors.
