Key West Attractions

South Beach is one of the greatest tourist attractions in the Keys, with the perfect amount of sun, the cool ocean breezes and the myriad stores and restaurants scattered throughout. Of course, the main draw of the beach is getting the perfect tan and relieving stress, but with so much commercial transformation and increased levels of tourism, there are countless ways to have a good time. The food is excellent, the nightclubs are abundant and the people are just beautiful.

The Tennessee Williams Theater is a performing arts center that hosts themed parties, brings in touring plays with elaborate sets, hosts festivals and any of number of events that bring out crowds with all sorts of interests. If you’re in town, you can get tickets at the box office for any of the shows that are playing at the time, or plan your trip ahead according to a show you plan on seeing. A trip to the Keys just isn’t complete without checking out a show or event at this theater.

Key West Water Tours bring visitors in touch with the one thing the Keys will never run out of: scenery. Their wave runner fleets can be rented for single, double or triple groups and will take you around Key West and the surrounding islands to bring you up close to the natural side of experiencing the keys, and even give you a chance to see some of the diverse wildlife that lives in the water. Put simply, the tours are amazing, and there’s so better way to experience the Keys.

The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum was home to one of America’s greatest novelists, writing many of the great works of our day and even receiving a Pulitzer Prize for his work. Hemingway left behind a large lot of inbred cats, which has extra toes on carious feet and they remain at the house for visitors to see. Whether you have an interest in Hemingway’s work, if you are just a cat person or if you just want to explore some of Key West’s history, add Hemingway’s home to your itinerary.

The Southernmost Point attraction is one of those places that everyone must see when they visit. This is the southernmost point in the continental USA, demarcated by a giant buoy that is perfect for taking pictures with family and friends. Just 90 miles from Cuba, it’s one of those places you just have to go or your trip isn’t complete.
