Maui Shopping

Maui shopping is as unique as its scenery and as varied as its landscapes. In Maui, you can shop to your heart’s content.

Shopping Centers
Hawaii has a love affair with shopping centers. At the top of the list for Maui shopping is Lahaina Cannery Mall. It’s one of the biggest in Hawaii and offers superb entertainment for the family. There’s hula dancing and many cultural events. There’s also a large selection of inexpensive restaurants.

Another fabulous place to do Maui shopping is the Queen Kaahumanu Center. It’s the largest in Maui and home to the only department stores on the island. These are Macy’s and Sears. You can choose from any of the 100 specialty shops that offer everything from home furnishings to custom made Hawaiian jewelry.

Lahana Center is another jewel of the shopping crown. It resembles a Hawaiian village and is home to huts filled with unique merchandise like handicrafts and island wear. It’s a great place to find swimwear.

Maui marketplace is a large mall and a great place to spend the afternoon Maui shopping. You’ll find brand names mixed with specialty shops. Some of these include Eagle Hardware and Borders Books.

And if you’re looking for upscale and trendy, then The Shops at Wailea is the place for you. It’s a must see even if the budget doesn’t allow for a Fendi original. You’ll marvel in the traditional Hawaiian architecture.

If you’re going Maui shopping for a treasure or two, then you’ll find it at Danny Shanghai. This is the home of authentic American and European antiques as well as superb replicas.

After finding your treasure, then try heading to Vintage European Posters, where you’ll find the largest collection of amazing vintage framed or loose posters.

Art Lovers
Art Lovers listen up. You’ll enjoy Lahaina Galleries where you’ll see works by renowned Hawaiian artists. It’s the venue for who’s who in the world of painting and sculpture. It’s the ideal place for Maui shopping.

And if you’d like to purchase a different form of art, visit Hot Island Glassblowing Studio and Gallery. It’s owned by a family who has engaged in the art of glassblowing for centuries.

Maui Hand is another popular spot among art lovers. It’s a small shop filled with lithographs, prints, pottery and paintings by local artists.

Outlets and Other Specialty Shops
Maui shopping is also affordable. If you’re dying to buy that island dress, don’t hesitate. However, the place to that real tropical find is at Tropical Tantrum Outlet Stores. Everything is stylish and you’ll pay 50% less.

Tip: It’s an ideal place to shop for resort wear and Aloha shirts.
