Myrtle Beach Attractions

Myrtle Beach is said to be a top destination for families.  There’s much to do and lots of fun to be had.  But if you’re traveling solo or with that special someone, you’ll find that Myrtle Beach attractions are also for you.

Popular Live Entertainment
Dolly Parton is an icon of the country music scene and the city is graced with the presence of one of the most popular Myrtle Beach attractions: the Dixie Stampede. This show recreates Ms. Parton’s childhood and love for horses.  The 32 equine ensemble performs to the sounds of musical numbers amidst intricate pyrotechnics.  Dinner is included with the entertainment and the prices are quite reasonable.

It would be a mistake to miss the Carolina Opry.  This amazing show has won every possible award in the tourism industry including the Governor’s Cup.  It’s a Broadway style review that will keep your feet dancing all night.  It features everything from rock’n’roll to gospel and pop.

If you’re one who loves speed, NASCAR Park is ideal.  It’s considered one of the best Myrtle Beach attractions and is dedicated to everything in racing.  It features seven race-tracks, rides for small kids, tough climbing walls and fast bumper boats.  For a break, there’s a snack bar with a good selection of fast foods and treats.

Another venue you’ll want to consider is Ripley’s Motion Master Moving Theater.  You’ll find the experience distinctly unique.  With this 3-D screen you can watch a movie and actually feel as if you’re in it.  So if you happen to see “Glacier Run,” you’ll feel every bump, turn, drop, hike as well as every danger.  You’ll be holding on to your chair for dear life.

And you’ll definitely not want to miss the Family Kingdom Water Park.  It showcases the largest Ferris wheel and more than 30 incredible rides.  Among the favorites is the Caribbean Saturation Station with its 700 gallon volcano that erupts every eight minutes, getting everyone around soaking-wet.  For nail biting thrills, the turbo twister will not disappoint.  You get to climb ten stories high and drop through a slide of total darkness at a speed that will make your heart skip a few beats.  Afterward, you can let your blood pressure settle while taking it easy on the Layzee River.  This more subdued ride allows you to circle the park at 3 mph while soaking up the South Carolina sunshine.

For those who enjoy a round of golf but wouldn’t mind playing in an unusual setting, Jurassic Golf is the perfect Myrtle Beach attraction.
You’ll feel as if you were on Jurassic Island surrounded by dinosaurs that hiss and growl as you pass them by.  The fairways have interesting challenges to make your game even more memorable.
But if you’d like to admire the beauty of Myrtle Beach attractions while commuting with nature, head out to the State Park.  Its 312 acres sit in front of the ocean and give visitors the magnificence of its endemic flora and wildlife.
