Naples Attractions

In Naples, we’re not just talking about the eye-candy that fills the beaches… we’re talking about a destination packed with fun and exciting things to do.  In fact, you won’t want to leave when it’s time to pack your bags. Here are some of our favorite Naples attractions.

How adventurous are you?  Are you up to getting close with some wild alligators? How about a panther or two?  If you’re answer is yes, then a trip to Babcock Wilderness Adventure is the trip for you!  Babcock offers great family fun and promises a vacation that your family won’t forget anytime soon.  They offer tours on their beautiful ranch as well as through the peaceful Cyprus Swamp.  This is a great Naples attraction for a reminder of what Florida was like one hundred years ago.

No trip to Naples is complete without visiting the famous Everglades, one of the favorite Naples attractions.  This natural treasure is home to some of the most beautiful flora and fauna in the United States and if you’re lucky, you’ll spot some of the rare and exotic wildlife that call the Everglades home.  You’ll also have your choice of either full or half-day tours, but whatever you do, don’t miss taking a Safari adventure!  Some of the organized tours even offer you the option to explore the Everglades and the surrounding secluded islands by canoe or kayak.  No matter what your fitness level, age, or preference there is a tour for you.

But if you want to relax somewhere other than the beach, take in the Naples attractions and enjoy a little bit of everything, then make time to spend an afternoon at Naples Botanical Gardens.  It’s not just breathtakingly beautiful, but interesting and educational.  With more than 600 species, you’ll find this astounding Naples attraction to have the best tropical and sub-tropical flora from around the globe.

Another favorite among Naples attractions and a must see is the Naples Museum of Art.  But bring comfortable shoes because the 30,000 square feet of interesting exhibits will keep you on your toes and wanting to see more.  Most of the works include world-renowned paintings although the building itself is a masterpiece to be admired.  You’ll see that the glass-domed gallery, for instance, is ornamented with a beautiful crystal chandelier and a Persian style ceiling.

How would you like to travel back in time? If you’re ready to go back a few thousand years, the Collier County Museum is the place to do it.  And keep in mind this is one of the top Naples attractions.  Here tourists get the opportunity to learn about the country’s last frontier and about Florida’s past.  Part of that heritage includes the culture and traditions of the Calusa and Seminole Indians.  Make sure to not miss the displays.

Tip:  Don’t leave without visiting the botanical gardens, the early cottages, the locomotive used for logging and the World War II Sherman tank.  They’re among the most frequented Naples attractions.
