Saint Petersburg Dining

What makes Dining in Saint Pete Beach such an extraordinary experience is its wide variety of choices. You can enjoy the freshest seafood right out of the Gulf of Mexico. Or you can enjoy mouthwatering steaks from ranches throughout the United States. With more than 200 restaurants, visitors can find whatever ethnic cuisine appeals at the time.

For a real treat, the Spinners Rooftop Revolving Bistro is the best choice for dining in Saint Pete Beach. It’s the only revolving restaurant on the Gulf Coast. It offers some of the most magnificent panoramic views of the Gulf as well as the Tampa Bay. It’s located on the 12th floor of the Grand Plaza Hotel. You’ll find that the chef’s creations are as amazing as the scenery. Piano music accompanies delectable specialties like blackened grouper or lobster thermidor.

Tip: The Florida Key Lime Pie is a must. You can’t find this type of dessert elsewhere in the world.

The Palm room and Restaurant is another excellent choice. It’s mostly a breakfast and brunch venue. However, this is the ideal way in which to start your day. Enjoy the view of the beach as you sip mimosas prepared with fine champagne and of course Florida orange juice.

Fetishes has won national as well as local awards for its outstanding cuisine. Start with the most incredible crab meat cocktail and move on to the rack of lamb or perhaps the surf and turf. This way you get to enjoy the best of both worlds. The list of California, French and Italian wines has been well compiled.

A must for all visitors who enjoy fresh seafood is the Maritana Grille. This Four Diamond establishment is amazing in décor as well as gastronomy. 1,500 gallons of salt water aquariums display native fish from Florida waters. It has been rated as one of the top 100 restaurants in the country. The chef uses different exotic woods for cooking. These add superb flavors to grilled salmon, grouper and lobster. Some of the woods include pecan and cherry. After the meal, don’t miss the soufflés. They’re sublime.

Nori Thai is a favorite among locals seeking a fast but good meal. The menu is six pages long so you’ll find something to please your appetite. Some of the well-liked dishes are made with sweet and sour sauces. The tempura vegetables make excellent choices as well.

Being so close to Cuba you don’t want to leave without trying authentic Havana food. At Bella Havana, you’ll enjoy some of the best dining in Saint Pete Beach. Try shredded pork, black beans and rice, chorizo and sweet plantains. Make sure to accompany your meal with a refreshing mojito. Choose a table outdoors and listen to the sounds of Guantanamera.

If you’re not in the mood for a full meal but wish to enjoy a simple treat, head out to Dockside Dave’s Grill. His batter-fried grouper sandwich is said to be the best on the coast.
