Sarasota Dining

If you are looking to dine in a restaurant while gazing out at a beautiful sunset over a wide expanse of beach, then dining in Sarasota is just the place for you. If you want to eat fresh, delicious seafood at a restaurant that offers a first-rate service, hospitality and class, then you’ll also find what you seek while dining in Sarasota. The city is packed full of restaurants offering up a wide array of dishes. Below is a list of a few we think you might enjoy.

Oyster Bar
“It was a brave man that first ate an oyster,” wrote Jonathan Swift. Or so it says on the menu at the Phillipi Creek Village Restaurant and Oyster Bar. It's a family owned and run business that offers the much sought after waterfront dining all while “nestled in a tropical setting.”

In addition to oysters, this rather quaint establishment offers a whole lot of delectable seafood fare, ranging from Baked Seafood Platters with Stuffed Shrimp, Flounder and Grouper, as well as a delicious Charbroiled Snapper. Don’t miss their Fried Food Platters with Crab Cakes, Oysters, and Scallops. They also serve pasta and steaks and offer a “Little Mate's Menu.” Held in high esteem by the locals, this Oyster bar is worth putting on your list of places to consider when dining in Sarasota.

A Grill Restaurant with a View
When dining in Sarasota, why not check out the Bay View Bar & Grill restaurant? It offers up not only a scrumptious seafood menu with such tantalizing delectable treats as Key West Jumbo Shrimp, Jonah Crab Cake Salad, and a Spicy Lobster Quesadilla, but also offers them while you take advantage of it's full bay views. It’s truly a unique and memorable way to experience dining in Sarasota.

Tip: Hours vary at the Bay View Bar & Grill, and it can get quite busy during high season so please call ahead.

Chicken Wings
If you're looking for sandwiches, burgers and such, then why not experience the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant? If you like chicken wings, then this is your dining in Sarasota hot spot. They have Wing Tuesdays and Boneless Wing Thursdays wherein they offer a range of great deals and special combos. They also have 20 different beers on draft, and a full bar. They have a Children's Menu, a Happy Hour, Outdoor Dining, and a smokeless Sports Bar as well. The restaurant seats 200, is open year around and is also conveniently located near Siesta Key.

Mexican Fare
For those of you who'd like to chow down on good, fairly priced, home-made Mexican food, you might want to make your way to El Toro Bravo Restaurant. They serve typical Mexican food such as Tacos, Burritos, Enchiladas, Platter Combinations and the like.

You can order food just as like you like it prepared –not too spicy or not too mild. The cook's never far away from the tables and he always aims to please. Note that it’s closed on Sundays.
