There are so many attractions and fun things to do in Tampa that you could visit Tampa time after time and always find something new to experience.

Tampa is home to over 165 parks and beautiful sugar-like sand beaches. There are theme parks, festivals and events for all sports fans. There are plenty Tampa attractions and activities to keep you entertained. There is jet skiing, parasailing, snorkeling, sport-fishing and more. For the visitor who wishes to have a more sedate culturally-filled vacation, there are great museums like the Museum of Art, where you can find more than 3,600 works of art or you can take a historical tour of one of the only remaining plantations in Southern Florida.

Commuting with Nature
If you wish to commute with nature, take a canoe escape and paddle down the Hillsborough River, just minutes away from downtown Tampa. Here you will discover the amazing Florida wildlife from alligators, to birds and turtles. This is one of the most relaxing Tampa attractions imaginable.

Do not miss another hot Tampa attraction, the Homosassa Springs State Wildlife Park, where six million gallons of water bubble up from the springs on a daily basis. Walk under the “fish bowl spring” and see over 34 varieties of fish including the gentle Florida manatees. It is a great place to bring your children as they will be able to take active participation in demonstrations.

Head out to Lowry Park Zoo, another favorite Tampa attraction, for visitors who enjoy nature and animals. It has a beautiful aquatic center, a children’s petting zoo and interesting animals from exotic places like India and Sumatra. Best of all, you get to see the animals in their natural habitat, not in cages.

For a bit more wild adventure, visit Busch Gardens Africa, where you’ll see wild animals and you’ll live the excitement of fabulous rides.

Tip: If you are looking for a real thrill, ride “Montu”, the world’s tallest and longest inverted rollercoaster.

Adventure Parks
Adventure Island is a must-see Tampa attraction. With 36-acres of rides, pools and slides, you can’t go wrong. It is one of the best Tampa attractions especially during hot summer days. The park is open February through October. Everyone enjoys the Key West Rapids, the “Aruba Tuba” inner tube flume and the “spike zone”. There is also a volleyball park to run off some steam.

Both kids and adults will enjoy Dinosaur World, the world’s largest, with over 100 life-size dinosaurs in a sub-tropical jungle. This is one of Tampa attractions that visitors visit time after time.

Casino plus more
If you are seeking excitement from different types of Tampa attractions, visit the Seminole Indian Casino, for poker, bingo and video gaming machines, or go to the fastest paced game, Jai-alai where admission is really inexpensive. You can pay one dollar for standing, or two and three dollars to sit.

Sports fans should not miss one of the popular Tampa Bay Buccaneer games. The Buccaneers have been the major sports franchise since 1976 were Super Bowl winners in 2002.
