Tampa Shopping

A well kept secret, Tampa shopping is a fun and enjoyable experience offering shoppers a wide variety of choice. With a flea market that has been voted among the best, large malls, specialty shops and great seasonal sales, you’ll know you’ve come to the right place.

Variety
The Big Top Flea Market has been voted among the best flea markets in the nation for its Tampa shopping. There are over 1,000 covered booths where you will find everything you could possibly imagine, from toys and appliances to antiques, and of course, you will find those treasures you can only find at great flea markets, whether it’s a new or used item. The Big Top Flea Market is a great way to save money and enjoy a unique Tampa shopping experience at the same time.

Boutiques and Fine Shops
For great boutique Tampa shopping, there is Citrus Park Town Center Mall, a spectacular, fairly new shopping extravaganza. You will find over 120 specialty shops like Abercrombie & Fitch, Ann Taylor, Pottery & Barn and others whose names you’ll recognize. There are small boutiques catering to the most discriminating tastes, carrying vintage and modern clothing. There is also a Regal Cinema, with 20 screens and stadium seating; it is a comfortable place to rest after shopping all day.

Large Malls
Do not miss the University Mall, another popular place for Tampa shopping. It’s located only a few minutes from the main theme parks in the area. You’ll find large department stores like Burdines and Dillard’s, Burlington Coat factory, and more than 150 stores; your kids will enjoy the carousel as well as the array of restaurants at the food court. Once you are done shopping, why not enjoy a movie at one of the 16-screen Cineplex theaters.

Brandon Town Center Mall is another prime example of great Tampa shopping. It is home to major department stores like Burdines and Sears, as well as specialty shops like Eddie Bauer, Guess, Gap, Banana Republic and more.

Artsy Area
At Central Ybor, in the heart of the Historic Latin Quarter you’ll find a collection of fabulous shops, restaurants and entertainment for your Tampa shopping experience. This area is known for being one of Tampa’s longest established arts communities. It is home to galleries, artist studios and theater groups. Every first Saturday of the month, you can celebrate and support the arts by participating in the Ybor City Art walk.

Old World
Old Hyde Park Village is a favorite for Tampa shopping, minutes from downtown, set in one of the most picturesque historic districts, which is lined with huge trees, surrounded by green parks and decorated with colorful awnings. Here you’ll find 60 shops set among an old-world setting. There are national retailers like Brooks Brothers, Talbots and one of the nation’s only Pottery Barn for children. You will also find locally-owned specialty shops like Georgette’s, which sells beautifully designed apparel. People from all over the state come to Austen-Hyde leather and Aldo Brioni Jewelers for out of the ordinary items.
